Invisalign Clear Braces – Glastonbury, CT
Aligning Your Smile and Improving Your Oral Health
At any age, a misaligned bite and crooked teeth are about more than just aesthetics alone. When you address the way your teeth and jaws come together, you certainly improve your appearance. But, just as importantly, you also improve the health of your jaws and even your airway as well. The only orthodontic option was metal brackets and wires for many years, but today Dr. Hollinger can use Invisalign clear braces in Glastonbury to provide the same great results, without the drawbacks. If you’re interested in all the benefits that come with aligned jaws and beautifully straight teeth, give us a call today to schedule a consultation!
How Does Invisalign Work?
First, we’ll evaluate your needs to make sure Invisalign is right for you. Then, to make your aligner trays, we’ll start by taking images and digital impressions, which are much easier than traditional impressions that use uncomfortable putty.
You’ll return a few weeks later to pick up your first set of trays and officially begin treatment. At this appointment, we’ll put discreet, tooth-colored, “attachments” on your teeth that help anchor the trays in your mouth.
We’ll also go over all the instructions for how to wear and maintain your aligners and answer any questions you may have. Throughout your treatment, you’ll keep your trays in for at least 22 hours per day and move to a new set about every two weeks until your final result is achieved.
What are the Benefits of Invisalign?
At Central Connecticut Orofacial Pain & Sleep Medicine, our patients love that Invisalign is clear and discreet. But clear aligners in Glastonbury provide many other benefits as well, including:
- Comfort – Smooth, plastic aligner trays are much more comfortable than metal brackets.
- Improved Oral Hygiene – It’s far easier to brush and floss than it is in metal braces because you simply remove your trays beforehand.
- Convenience – If you have a special event like a job interview or wedding, you’re able to remove your trays.
- Less Treatment Time – The average treatment time for Invisalign is 9-18 months, while it’s 12-24 months for traditional braces.
Is Invisalign Right For You?
Invisalign is a wonderful solution for many different mild to moderate issues, including:
- Overbites and Underbites
- Open bites
However, everyone is unique, so the best way to know if Invisalign is right for you is to schedule a consultation. After Dr. Hollinger and our experienced team have evaluated your needs, we’ll create a treatment plan to make sure you get the best results possible.
